Cooking with Elfman
2 packages of chicken flavoured ramen noodles, save 1 flavour packet
2 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons of water
2 teaspoons of oyster sauce
1 teaspon of cornstarch
1/8th teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons vegatale oil, divided
3 ounces of shiitake mushrooms, stems removed, sliced
2 medium heads of bok choy, cut into 1/4 inch wide strips
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse with
Transfer to a large bowl, then toss with green onions and 1 seasoning
Combine water, oyster sauce, cornstarch and pepper in a small bowl.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium to high heat.
Add the noodle mixture to the skillet; press down evenly with a
spatula to form a pancake.
Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until bottom is crisp and golden brown.
Slide onto serving plate; add 1 tablespoon of oil to skillet.
Invert pancake into skillet and cook 5 minutes until crisp and golden
Return pancake to plate and keep warm.
Heat remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in skillet.
Add mushrooms; cook 2 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionall.
Add bok choy; cook 2 minutes or until stems are crip=tender.
Add sauce mixture and cook for 30 seconds or until vegetables are
glazed , stirring frequently. Spoon vegetables over pancakes.
